This bowl was turned on a lathe from a piece of maple and finished with polyurethane.  This bowl is food safe and can be used or displayed.  Hand wash only. 
 
This bowl is handmade and with such products sometimes you will notice small blemishes in the wood, that add to the uniqueness and character of such a product.
